Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City Arrival (D)
At Tan Son Nhat Airport, driver will collect and transfer you to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. Formerly known as Saigon, the vibrant city of Ho Chi Minh City in southern Vietnam is a seductive blend of the old and the modern.
Explore Ho Chi Minh City’s historic district with locals and discover the city before the war. While traveling on the cyclo, the city’s typical pedicabs, you may get a close look at locals life while stopping for scrumptious snacks. Following that, you will be transferred to a local restaurant to have Vietnamese noodle soup (Pho).
Return to the hotel for some relaxation time.
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 2: Cao Dai Temple – Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L)
Have breakfast at your hotel.
Our guide will collect you around 7:30 am – 7:50 am and then you will go to Tay Ninh Province.
The first destination is the Great Holy See Temple, built in 1926, considered one of the most striking structures in Asia. This is the headquarters of Cao Dai, a religion with a colorful blend of Buddhism, Christianity, and Confucianism. Visitors will attend noon vigil to witness daily mass organized by Cao Dai followers, which is a wonderful experience.
After lunch, visitors will go to the Cu Chi tunnels. Cu Chi is now considered a heroic district for its role in the anti – American war in Vietnam. It is legendary for its tunnels system of over 220km and is a popular spot for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors.
Our guide will give an overview of Cu Chi and its legendary history. A documentary about the tunnels will explain the history of the tunnel and the severity of war in the area. You will be guided to the tunnel system, including the weapon factory, hospital and kitchen, underground tunnels, and more.
Then, you can try delicious cassava, the top food of guerrilla fighters in Cu Chi during the war. Leave the Cu Chi tunnels and return to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City – Ben Tre – Can Tho (B, L)
7:30 – 7:50 am: The driver and tour guide will collect you at your hotel and start the trip to My Tho. Upon arrival, visit Vinh Trang pagoda which dates back to the late 19th century. Then boarding the sampan and cruising around four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands. Stop over at Unicorn Island, go walking in the village paths to contemplate orchards, enjoy tropical fruits, and Vietnamese folk music performed by the local people. Visit the fruit plantation. Be rowed in a small sampan through the Thoi Son canal and treat yourself to the beauty of the countryside, visit the family business & bee-keeping farm, enjoy honey tea and coconut candy workshop. Have lunch at the local restaurant. Break time.
The afternoon is time for cycling around the Tan Thach village, meeting the local people to experience their daily life in the Mekong delta. Relaxing on hammocks to enjoy the cool breeze is for those do not want to join the cycling trip. Proceed to Can Tho.
You will have free time and stay overnight in Can Tho.
Day 4: Cai Rang Floating Market – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)
Have breakfast at the hotel in early morning. Take a leisure boat trip to explore the picturesque tributaries of the Lower Mekong River (Bassac River) then visit to Cai Rang floating market which is the liveliest one in the whole of region.
Walk trip to visit the fruit plantation and local noodle factory. Visit Binh Thuy communal house and Munir Ansay Pagoda – a Khmer pagoda, renowned for its unique structure. Have lunch and return to Ho Chi Minh City around 5:30 PM.
Overnight in Saigon.
Day 5: Ho Chi Minh Half-Day City Tour (B, L)
Have breakfast at your hotel.
07:30 – 07:50 am: Our guide will collect you at your hotel and take the morning trip to visit Independence Palace, also known at the Reunification palace, was built on the sight of the former Norodom palace. The Independence palace is a widely known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu. Continue seeing the beautiful structures from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office. Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum, the museum has a vast display of the both the Indochina wars. Have lunch at local restaurant. Then you have free time in the afternoon. Stay overnight in Saigon.
Day 6: Ho Chi Minh Departure (B)
Depend on the flight time, you are transferred by our driver to airport for your flight back to your home country. End of our services!
