Tour Itinerary
AM: 08:00-08:30: Our guide & driver pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter. Then visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum. Admire the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho’s final resting place. The next door is Ho Chi Minh stilt house. Lying on one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda was founded in 1049 by King Ly Thai To. The structure of this pagoda has become an important symbol of Hanoi. Continue to visit the Quan Thanh Temple (Taoist – dating from the Ly Dynasty) and Buddhist Tran Quoc Pagoda on West Lake (One of the oldest lakes in Vietnam). Have lunch.
PM: After lunch, continue visiting the Temple of Literature (Van Mieu Quoc Tu Giam) the Vietnam’s first university constructed in 1070, its gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a fleeting glimpse into Vietnam’s past. Visit Bat Trang pottery village on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology on Tuesday, Thursday, Sat, and Sunday. Finally, we take you to Hoan Kiem Lake to see the peaceful waters and visit Ngoc Son temple. The tour ends around 15:30-16:00.
*Note: On Mondays and Fridays, Uncle Ho’s mausoleum will be closed for maintenance of facilities. However, if that day coincides with the holidays of May 19, September 2 and the 1st of the Lunar New Year, Uncle Ho’s Mausoleum is still open to welcome visitors.
