Mekong Delta: My Tho – Ben Tre – Chau Doc – Can Tho 3 Day 2 Nights

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: HCMC – My Tho – Ben Tre – Chau Doc (L, D)

7:00 am: Driver and tour guide will pick you up at your hotel and then depart for the beautiful city of My Tho (1.5 hours).

8:30 am: Arrive in My Tho, the car will stop at Mekong Rest station to rest for about 15 minutes. Visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, the most ancient pagoda in Southern Vietnam.

10:00 am: Continue the journey on Tien River to visit the island by motorboat. Go to Unicorn Island, visit the grapefruit farm and beekeeping farm. Enjoy honey and royal jelly tea from the farm. After that, the electric car will take you on the village road to enjoy the countryside atmosphere. Go to Xu Dua to listen to delta folk songs.

You will be served 5 different tropical fruits on the table while listening to music. Back on the boat, head to Ben Tre, the “coconut hometown” in Vietnam, to visit the Coconut Candy factory. You can learn how to make candy, and taste some freshly cooked candies.

12:00 pm: Walk around the restaurant area. After that, local people will row your boat through a canal covered with nipa palms on both sides of the canal.

Return to the restaurant for lunch. You can try this region’s specialty dish, crispy fried elephant ear fish. “dinosaur eggs”, etc. After lunch, you will have free time to visit the village, we have free bicycles for you to go around.

Return to the boat ride again to get back to the bus to depart to Chau Doc City.

Around 7:00 pm, the tour guide will take you to the restaurant for dinner. After dinner, you are free to explore Chau Doc city at night.

Overnight in Chau Doc.

Day 2: Chau Doc – Can Tho City (B, L, D)

Have breakfast at your hotel.

Driver and tour guide we will pick you up to visit Thoại Ngọc Hầu’s Tomb, Tây An Temple, Ba Chua Xu Temple (the Holy Mother of the Realm) is a solemn and ancient architecture built in 1820.
The next destination is Trà Sư Mangrove Forest, walking around 500m to the boat station from the parking slot. Take the motorboat about 10 minutes through small canal, see the natural ecosystem of Mangrove Forest in Viet Nam with many kinds of different wild animal.

Have lunch at Tra Su restaurant.

Depart to Can Tho City-the capital of Mekong Delta.

7:00 pm: Have dinner on cruise in Can Tho. Then you will have free time to explore the city at night.

Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 3: Can Tho Floating Market – My Khanh Tourist Village – HCMC (B, L)

After breakfast at your restaurant, visit Cái Răng floating market. During the boat trip, you can see how the residents live on the river and their normal activities. Learn how to sell stuff on a boat, it’s definitely different from selling at the market on land. Learn how to make rice noodle and do it by your own.

Leave the floating market, visit Trúc Lâm Zen Monastary, the biggest Monastary in Mekong Delta. After that, depart to My Khanh Tourist Village to have free time and have lunch over there.

After lunch time, visit the Purple House – a café with everything is decorated in purple. You can use the ticket to exchange a free drink over there. That’s a nice place for you to take pictures if you are a “live on the internet” person. Just take your time and relax there.

Back to HCMC, arrive HCMC at around 6:30pm.
