Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh arrival (D)
Welcome to Vietnam. Welcome you to Ho Chi Minh City. Our driver will meet you at the airport. After a long flight, our driver will take you back to the hotel and check in. You will have free time to relax. After resting, you will start exploring the nightlife of city.
5:00 pm: The driver and tour guide will collect you at the hotel and transfer to the harbour. Enjoy dinner cruise on Saigon River. During the journey, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the city and see the life of residents on both riverside. Finish the journey, come back to the hotel. Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh city – Cu Chi tunnel full day (B, L)
07:45 am: Beginning the first destination of the journey in this day, the driver and tour guide will collect you at the hotel, start to downtown of Ho Chi Minh for touring along the famous Dong Khoi Street, passing by the Opera House, Town Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral & central Post Office and Independent Palace. Have lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we are heading to Hoc Mon District to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, is 70 kilometers North-west of down-town Ho Chi Minh City. The tour guide will give you an overview introduction to Cu Chi and its legendary history. A documentary film about the tunnels will explain the tunnel’s histories and how fierce the war was in the area. You will be guided to the tunnels system, including the weapon factory, hospitals, and kitchens, crawl under the tunnels, etc.
After that, you can try delicious manioc, the leading food for guerilla warriors in Cu Chi during the war. Leave Cu Chi tunnels and return to Ho Chi Minh City.
Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh – Ben Tre – Can Tho (B, L, D)
07:45 am: Depart from the hotel and arrive in Ben Tre.
10:00 am: You will experience the adventure by motorboat, which is the main vehicle of residents. Board a motorboat and cruise through beautiful rivers and canals lined with coconut palms. Come to the bee farms where you can listen to Vietnamese traditional music (Dan ca tai tu – A type of Southern folk art recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity in 2013) and enjoy seasonal tropical fruit and honey tea. Then, going to the coconut candy factory, you will have the opportunity to learn how to make coconut candy.
Before going to lunch, take a rowing boat through a small creek to admire the beauty of coconut trees on both sides of the beautiful overhanging banks. After lunchtime, board a motorboat to depart for Ben Tre.
3:00 pm: Leave Ben Tre to Can Tho. Check-in at the hotel upon arrival and having dinner. You will have free time for sightseeing.
Overnight in Can Tho.
Day 4: Can Tho – Cai Rang – Ho Chi Minh (B, L)
Have an early breakfast at the hotel and check out.
06:30 – 07:00 am: You go to the pier to board a motorboat to visit Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest and most unique floating market in the Mekong Delta.
Right from the early morning, the river has become a busy trading place with hundreds of boats carrying many kinds of products, such as fruits, vegetables, food, etc. lined up on the river. Sellers would hang the specimens they were selling on top of a long pole on their boat so buyers could see from a distance what the sellers are selling.
After the Cai Rang market, continue cruising through small creeks to local orchards and enjoy seasonal tropical fruits.
10:30 am: Back to the hotel and free for lunch.
12:00 pm: Back to Saigon, stop at Vinh Long market. Cross the My Thuan suspension bridge and rest at Mekong Rest Stop. Then return to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 5: Departure (B)
After breakfast, you will have time to relax. Check in your hotel and transfer to the airport.
