Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh Arrival (D)
A driver will pick you up at Tan Son Nhat Airport and take you to your hotel for check-in. Following that, we’ll go to the Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica, a neo-Roman cathedral constructed by French colonists. Next, pay a visit to the Jamia Almuslim Mosque and the Central Post Office.
Have dinner at the local restaurant
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)
Have breakfast at the hotel.
Driver and tour guide pick you up at the lobby and start the journey to Cu Chi Tunnels. The tour guide will provide you with an outline of Cu Chi’s illustrious past. The history of the tunnels and the intensity of the local conflict will be covered in a documentary film about the tunnels. You will be given a tour of the underground system, which includes the crawl space beneath the tunnels, the weapon manufacturing, the hospitals, and the kitchens. Go back to Ho Chi Minh City after exiting the Cu Chi tunnels.
Have lunch at a local restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City.
After lunch, take a half-day city tour to visit the War Remnants Museum and the Reunification Palace. Here you will learn about the history of Vietnam through the resistance wars.
Have dinner at a local restaurant.
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh – Mekong Delta – Can Tho (B, L)
Breakfast at the hotel.
7:30 – 8:00 am: You will be picked up at the hotel by the driver and tour guide, who will then transport you to the Mekong Delta, the biggest rice bowl in Vietnam. My Tho is the initial destination. Set off in a boat and make your way through convoluted waterways. Go to the Unicorns Island.
Proceed to Ben Tre, the second Delta Province, where you may take a quick tour of the area, see the locals making coconut candy in a rustic workshop, and even try riding a horse-drawn carriage. After that, take a sail to some of the preserving homes to sample freshly harvested honey and honey tea.
Have lunch at a local restaurant.
Continue the journey to Can Tho (the capital city of the Mekong Delta).
Overnight in Can Tho.
Day 4: Can Tho – Chau Doc (B, L)
Have breakfast at your hotel.
Take a boat ride on the Hau River to the Cai Rang Floating Market. Savor your morning coffee from the neighborhood coffee boat while seeing the entire trading scene unfold amongst boats. After that, the boat will go across the Mekong River, passing by rural villages and fruit farms.
Return to the town by boat and see Binh Thuy’s ancient house. The home nevertheless has a strong Vietnamese identity, despite its blend of eastern and western design elements. Have lunch at the local restaurant.
Transfer back to Chau Doc.
Overnight in Chau Doc
Day 5: Chau Doc – Ho Chi Minh (B, L)
Have breakfast at your hotel.
Driver and tour guide will take you to see a Muslim mosque, a settlement of the Cham ethnic group, and a towel weaving. Go on a boat ride in the Tra Su Cajuput Forest, a haven for plants and animals. That is a typical wetland forest found in the West Hau River area of Vietnam, which is home to a wide variety of animal and plant species that are part of the country’s special-use forest system. Have lunch at a local restaurant.
Return to Ho Chi Minh.
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 6: Ho Chi Minh Departure (B)
Have breakfast at your hotel. You will have free time to relax or further explore Ho Chi Minh or go shopping. After check out, driver will pick you up and transfer to Tan San Nhat Airport for departure.
